4 story building under construction collapses in Abuja.
A four story building in Abuja collapsed recently. This almost claimed the lives of some workers on the site.
The building was still under construction as at the time it collapsed.
This incident happened yesterday, Monday. About 9 people narrowly escaped death. The building is located at Lifecamp area in Abuja, FCT.
It was around 4pm when the building collapsed and trapped some people underneath the building.
There were 9 workers on site but 5 luckily escaped while 4 were trapped
Officials of the FCT Fire Service responded to this emergency alongside some officials of the National Emergency Management Agency.
They began the rescue operations and rescued the 4 who were trapped inside the building.
Amiola Adebayo who is the Head of Operations of the FCT Fire Service wasn't able to confirm if there was any casualty.
He revealed that 5 escaped from the accident but 4 were trapped inside. They have rescued these victims and taken them to the Gwarinpa General Hospital
He said he is also not sure if there is anyone else inside but the rescue operations are still on.
