76% of candidates scored below 200, Jamb releases candidate's performance statistics

The Joint Admission Matriculation Board(JAMB) has released the statistics for the recently concluded exam which took place across the nation. The result revealed massive underperformance by candidates with over 76% scoring below 200. Out of the 1.9 million candidates that registered for the exam, over 1.4 million underperformed, raising concerns in the minds of guardians.

JAMB registrar, Mr. Ishaq Oloyede, disclosed that the examination body withheld the results of over 64,000 candidates suspected of examination malpractice but released over 1.8 million results. The centers where the malpractice was traced included Edo, Always Ibom, Delta, Kwara, and others. Oloyede announced that there's been a tremendous decrease in the rates of examination malpractice since the introduction of CBT in JAMB centers.
