9 rescued in Boat mishap in calabar, 4 still missing
9 people have been rescued in the boat mishap which happened recently in calabar. The boat had capsized and rescue operations commenced to save the lives of those on board. They have rescued 9 people but sadly 4 people are still missing.
The boat incident had happened in Cross River on Saturday afternoon. This was along the Calabar waterways.
There had been 13 people on board when the incident occured. They were headed to Oron in Akwa Ibom State.
Some of the victims had been floating on the water and people called for help to rescue them.
SP Irene Ugbo who is the Police Public Relations Officer in the Cross River state Command has confirmed the incident.
She also confirmed 13 people were on the boat.
She has promised to give updates as things progress or if anything changes.
