Abuja musician and band members get kidnapped on their way to Kogi State for an event, abductors demand ransom of N10 million per head
An Abuja musician identified as @omobadejumbobeats and his band members were kidnapped on their way to perform at an event in Kogi State. A certain IG handle, @boyebest, shared the unfortunate news with the caption "May God in His infinite mercy bring you guys back home in peace in Jesus name. God pls bring these your children back home. This is so scary. God have mercy. @omobadejumbobeats and his bandmen were kidnapped on their way to Kogi from Abuja for performance yesterday. Please we need help as the kidnappers are demanding N10 million ransom on each person."
Indeed, this is a terrible news. Nigeria has slowly become one of the most unsafe countries to embark on a road trip. The rate of insecurity and kidnapping keeps rising on a daily with stories of some who were released after a ransom was paid and some who are still in captivity. Netizens have said that nothing would be done regarding kidnapping in Nigeria unless the youths organize a mass protest so the federal government will be forced to look into the state of insecurity in Nigeria.
Some Nigerians advised that booking a flight to travel inter-state is the safest bet now and if you cannot afford to pay for a flight ticket, it is best to not travel to avoid stories that touch.
