Bandits release 74 out of 85 Zamfara abductees
Bandits have released 74 out of the 85 people they abducted in Zamfara State.
They held back 11 kidnapped victims.
Recall some bandits had kidnapped 85 people from Wanzamai village in Tsafe Local Government Area in the State.
74 people were released on Friday night but the remaining 11 are not yet accounted for.
It was an indigene who revealed this. He said they haven't seen the remaining 11 people.
The bandits had promised to release the people after they had collected extra N3m but only released 74 people. He mentioned that they don't don't know if the remaining 11 are alive or not as the bandits didn't reveal any indication.
He mentioned that some of the victims have reunited with their families and some are still receiving medical treatment.
As at the time of filling the report, the state government and police are yet to release any statement regarding this.
