The Hon. Alhassan Ado Doguwa, the House Majority Leader, believes Asiwaju Bola Tinubu will "perform miracles" if elected president in 2023.
As you may recall, Tinubu won the governing All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary on Wednesday.
The former Lagos governor received 1,271 votes, defeating Rotimi Amaechi, Minister of Transport (316 votes), Vice President Yemi Osinbajo (235 votes), and 11 other candidates.
Doguwa responded by describing Tinubu as the best candidate to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari.
"The rise of BAT, who has become a political household name for many Nigerians, gives Nigerians hope that when the time comes, the right thing will be done."
I want to think that BAT's election as our flagbearer marks the beginning of the right period for the Federal Republic of Nigeria to elect the right person to lead it.
Those of us from the north-west who are also Buhari's followers believe that this is someone who will come in and build on the gains made by the current administration. This is someone who has done it twice as governor of Lagos.
This is someone who has brought a lot of smart individuals into the system, and we've seen how it's worked out. What is going to happen to Nigeria, I believe, will be a miracle.
People will witness miracles because you have a miraculous man in control of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, particularly in the economic sector, Douwa remarked.
