FG confirms UAE is yet to lift travel restrictions

The Federal Government has confirmed that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is yet to lift travel restrictions on Nigerian travelers.

On Tuesday, a statement was shared online by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga that the UAE has lifted the travel ban.

Hours later, Bayo Onanuga debunked the claims saying that the UAE is yet to lift the restrictions and the document in circulation is not authorized by either the Federal government or the UAE.

In October 2022, the UAE placed travel restrictions on over 15 countries including Nigeria and some African countries.
