The Federal Government has postponed the launch of the student loan program indefinitely.
President Tinubu signed a student loan bill in June 2023 to provide interest-free loans to students in tertiary institutions.
The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale earlier stated that the student loan program will be launched on 14th March 2024. This is after Pres. Tinubu said the program would commence in January 2024 after its launch was postponed in October 2023.
The FG said the new postponement is due to some corrections being made ahead of the launch. However, they promised to launch the program more comprehensively and sustainably.
