Five suspected human parts dealers arrested in Ogun

Five men who are suspected to be human part sellers have been arrested in Ogun State.

These men were arrested by the police Command in Ogun State. The arrest was made while the men were in their hideouts planning an operation. The ages of these men were between 30 to 69 years.

It was said that these men are responsible for so many corpses that had been removed from their graves within this community in Odogbolu Local Government Area.

Mr Abimbola Oyeyemi who is the public relations officer for the police in Ogun Ogun made mention of this news.
This was announced Sunday, 12th of march.

He also added that these men are ritualists who have been removing corpses from their graves. After removing these corpses, they would extract their body parts for these ritualistic purposes.

He said that they made the arrest on Saturday. This was after they had received information from the Odogbolu divisional police headquarters.

Mr Godwin Idehai who is the DOP of this division gathered his men and mobilized them to raid the hideouts where these men were.

They had found out that these men were planning another operation to get more human parts.

They brought them all in for interrogation and these men confessed to their crimes. They mentioned they were responsible for selling body parts of the corpses they had dug out from the graves. They mentioned this was their business and it included selling these parts to people who used them for rituals.

The commissioner of Police who is Mr Frank Mba has ordered that these men should be moved for investigation in the State Criminal Investigation Departments.
