Governor Ortom reveals there were 7 attempts on his life in 8 years
The outgoing Governor of Benue State has revealed that there have been 7 attempts on his life in the past 8 years.
Governor Samuel Ortom is the outgoing Governor of Benue State.
He mentioned this during an interview recently. This is as he completes his 8 years in office.
He revealed the things he has been through. He was asked to share the things that gave him joy while in office and also the things that saddened him.
He went ahead to express his gratitude to God for helping him this far and making it possible. He mentioned how he planned not to contest for a second term but he did and won.
He revealed his tenure wasn't East and he had passed through challenges. He says he won't fear because God is with Him.
He said many people even at the Federal level had attempted to remove him as the governor in illegal ways but didn't succeed.
He said the terrorists attempt on his life 7 times also failed
He was asked how he knew about the attempts on his life and he revealed these Fulani had come to him themselves and told him.
He also said he has no regrets about serving as a governor. If he is given another opportunity, he won't do it differently.
