The Lagos State Police Command has stated that a Lebanese man has been arrested for driving against traffic and nearly killing a female pedestrian.

On Thursday, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the news.

The Lebanese, identified as John Greg, was apprehended after a high-speed chase by police officers.

Omotomi Akinsanya, the sufferer, suffered a shattered leg and was transported to the hospital.

Hundeyin, who shared the information on Twitter, also added that the Lebanese Embassy had been informed of the incident as well as the suspect's arrest and imprisonment."

On May 4, 2022, at 07:45 a.m., a middle-aged Lebanese by the name of John Greg drove a Toyota 4Runner dangerously and against traffic on Sanusi Fafunwa Road, striking Omotomi Akinsanya, causing major leg injuries."

"We have the suspect in custody, and the vehicle has been confiscated and is being held at our station." The sufferer is being treated at LASUTH, the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital. The victim's family has been notified, as well as Lebanon's embassy.
