Marlians Music boss Naira Marley has finally broken silence on the death of his former signee Mohbad, stating that he isn't responsible for his death and he isn't a drug lord.
Naira Marley addressed this in a statement via his Instagram handle yesterday affirming that he and the late Mohbad may have had disagreements in the past, he doesn't have a hand in his death.
He said he has been in shock about the death of Mohbad and also about the lies spread about him on social media. He stated that he hasn't been in the country since 31st of August but he is planning to return to Nigeria very soon to assist the police in their investigation because he had already been invited.
Naira Marley said he decided not to say anything since Mohbad's death not because he is a fugitive, but because he doesn't want to jeopardize the police investigation.
He also addressed the rumors flying around that he runs a drug cartel saying he isn't a drug lord and Marlians Music is a legitimate record label for growing young artistes.
He further stated that he has never beaten up Mohbad or asked anyone, friends, family or colleague to bully or threaten Mohbad since he left the record label in 2022.
