Kaduna NDA warns residents ahead of intense shooting practice
The Kaduna Nigerian Defence Academy(NDA) has alerted the residents of Kauya, Mando, Afaka, and Tsamiya, about the upcoming shooting practice in the academy. They told them not to panic once they started hearing gun shots from its scheduled shooting exercise. A communique released by Maj. Mohammed Maidawa, the Kaduna NDA PRO, stated that the exercise is for the Army cadets of 71 Regular Course.
The statement also warned the residents of this area against trespassing the shooting range between January 9th to February 2nd. The scheduled shooting exercise will take place at NDA Open Range Afaka but safety measures have been put in place to ensure the successful execution of the exercise.
The statement reads thus:
“The Nigerian Defence Academy wishes to inform the general public, especially inhabitants of Mando, Tsamiya, Kauyd, and Afaka general area, that it will be conducting a Range Management Package for Army Cadets of 71 Regular Course. The exercise is scheduled to be held between 9 January to 2 February 2024 at NDA Open Range Afaka."
"The NDA assures the general public that all necessary safety measures have been put in place for the successful conduct of the exercise. However, we advise the general public to avoid trespassing in the general area throughout the period of the exercise."
