NDLEA arrests Lekki businessman for illegal cargo from US
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), have arrested a business over illegal cargo from the US.
The businessman who has been identified as Cyril Chidiebere is based in lekki, Lagos.
It was Mr Femi Babafemi who is the Director, Media and Advocacy of the NDLEA, who revealed this in a statement on Sunday, April 16, 2023.
He said they arrested this man on Friday alongside some others involved.
He mentioned that the drugs weighed 6.50kg, and they were a part of a consolidated cargo that was brought in from the United States of America.
This arrest was after a 3 day operation led by the intelligence after the arrival of the cargo at the Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc (NAHCO) import shed of the airport.
They had been monitoring its movement closely until they were able to arrest the importer which was Mr Cyril Chidiebere.
