NGX TRADING SUMMARY FOR MONDAY, JUNE 3, 2024

At the close of trading on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NGX) on Monday, June 3, a total of 349,590,093 shares were traded in 8,082 deals, valued at NGN 5,237,412,920.18. This marks a 19% decline in volume, a 39% decline in turnover, and a 5% decline in deals compared to the previous trading day, Friday, May 31. The market capitalization stands at NGN 56.1 trillion.

Out of 124 listed equities, 23 gained and 19 lost value. Cornerstone Insurance Company led the gainers with a 10% increase, closing at NGN 2.09 per share. Other top gainers included Deap Capital Management & Trust (+10%), Oando (+9.75%), and Veritas Kapital Assurance (+8.47%). E-Tranzact International experienced the largest loss, dropping 9.82% to NGN 5.05 per share, followed by Unity Bank (-9.8%), Jaiz Bank (-9.65%), and McNichols (-9.09%).

Veritas Kapital Assurance recorded the highest trading volume with 58 million shares, followed by Guaranty Trust Holding (47.6 million), Access Holdings (46.3 million), and Aiico Insurance (30.7 million).
