NGX TRADING SUMMARY FOR TUESDAY:

1. Market Performance:
The Nigerian equities market had a positive trading day as the NGX All-Share Index (NGXASI) increased by 0.23%, bringing the Year-to-Date (YTD) returns to 28.55%.

The All-Share Index closed at 97,685.64, compared to the previous close of 97,456.62.

2. Trading Volume and Turnover:
Volume traded rose by 13.59%, from 412.28 million shares in the previous session to 468.31 million shares.

Market turnover (total value of shares traded) increased significantly by 44.18%, moving from NGN6.42 billion to NGN9.26 billion across 11,866 deals.

3. Market Breadth:
Market breadth, which measures the ratio of advancing stocks to declining stocks, stood at 1.05x. This means there were more advancers than decliners, with 40 stocks gaining compared to 38 stocks declining.

4. Top Gainers:
FBN Holdings PLC (FBNH) topped the list of gainers, closing at N31.90, with a gain of 10.00%.

Flour Mills Nigeria PLC (FLOURMILL) followed, closing at N59.95, also with a gain of 10.00%.

5. Top Decliners:
On the flip side, ETERNA PLC (ETERNA) and Meristem Value Exchange Traded Fund (MERVALUE) led the decliners, each recording a loss of -10.00%. ETERNA closed at N27.90, while MERVALUE ended the day at N189.90.

6. Volume and Trading Activity:
A total of 94 companies saw an increase in trading volume, while 64 companies experienced a decrease.
