Nigerian singer Seun Kuti has shared his thoughts over the accusations that Mohbad's father received from embittered Nigerians since the announcement of his son's demise.
He said to the host of the Honest Bunch Podcast, "See this Mohbad issue, poverty is playing a big role in the narrative. People dey talk say na Mohbad papa kill am. Because him bury his son early. Who wan dey look him son dead body for 2 days. If na Otedola Pikin die and him bury am overnight, wetin everybody go talk here? No be say una go dey go give him condolences visit?"
Seun also added that people pointed fingers of accusations toward Mohbad's father because he is a poor man. No one would question the decision of a rich man like Otedola under similar circumstances.
Recall that when Mohbad died, his father wanted to bury him the same day but the Chief of Ikorudu didn't allow such. So, his corpse was buried the next day. That immediately raised suspicions amongst concerned Nigerians and questioned the intention of Mohbad's father.
"Why on Earth would you bury your son overnight?"
"Were you expecting him to die?"
"What are you trying to hide?" These were the thoughts that many threw at Mohbad's father for his sketchy behavior.
