Senate President Godswill Akpabio suddenly collapses following his 61st birthday celebration at Congress Hall, Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja.
The Senate President who turned 61 on 9th December 2023 held a lavish birthday party at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, Akwa-Ibom with thousands of guests in attendance.
For the second part of his birthday celebration, Akpabio organized a colloquium for his fellow politicians and top dignitaries. President Tinubu and other important personalities graced the event to celebrate the Senate President. According to sources, Akpabio collapsed after seeing President Bola Tinubu off at the event.
He accompanied the President and was already back on his seat when he slumped. After he collapsed, he was rushed to the NNPC hospital in Abuja and taken to the emergency room on a stretcher.
