Senate President pays visit to President Tinubu

The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio paid a visit to president Tinubu. He visited the State House to see President Bola Tinubu and this was after his own inauguration as the 10th Senate President.

Mr Akpabio was the minister for delta affairs from 2019 to 2022 and is now the president of the Senate.

Mr Akpabio is of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akwa Ibom.
He contested for the seat of president of the Senate and defeated his opponent.

Abdullazeez Yari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State was his major opponent.

Akpabio won with a total of 66 votes while Yari had 43 votes
