Senator John Enoh became a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2017. Prior to this he was a member of the People's Democratic Party (PDP).

He also happens to run a foundation which is JOE (John Owan Enoh) Foundation. Here, help is rendered to people who are living with diabetes in Nigeria.

He once contested for governorship under the umbrella of the All Progressives Congress (APC) but he lost to another politician who was the incumbent governor, Ben Ayade.
