Nigerian singer Ahmed Abiola Akinbiyi popularly known as Bella Shmurda is set to release a tribute EP titled Road to September 12 and an album titled September 12 to honor his late friend and colleague, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, also known as Mohbad.
Mohbad died on the 12th of September 2023 in Lagos due to alleged complications of a Tetanus vaccine injection. In a recent interview with Capital Xtra, Bella Shmurda revealed his plans to release an EP in a few months titled Road to September 12 and a studio album, September 12, the same day his close friend Mohbad passed away.
Bella Shmurda is one of the few people who were close to Mohbad in the industry while he was alive. After his death, Bella Shmurda had been seen performing his songs at events, wearing a customized neckpiece with an engraved photo of Mohbad and also extending love to Mohbad's son, Liam.
