Former Rivers State governor, Rotimi Amaechi has said that there are numerous opportunities in Nigeria and citizens don't have to migrate overseas to find greener pastures.

In an interview with Arise TV, the former minister of transportation stated that he has always discouraged those who tried leaving the country because the only benefit abroad is a stable 9-5 job, unlike Nigeria where one can become successful at anything.

"You can always get a 9-5 job when you leave the country but you can never get the opportunity you'll get in Nigeria. You can just wake up one day and be a minister in Nigeria. You can become a governor. It just happens. So if you're looking for opportunities, please stay back in Nigeria."

Speaking on the political instability in the country, Amaechi said Nigerians got what they deserve so they shouldn't complain because they have always exercised their right to vote whomever they want into office.
