The hearts of the residents of Maryland have been shattered over the demolition of their homes. It was reported that they were given 2 hours to evacuate everything they had in their home as demolition would commence immediately after the time elapsed. They all struggled to bring out their belongings and were immediately rendered homeless the moment the excavator was put to work.
According to the woman reporting the incident, they weren't given a prior notice to evacuate the building. The government workers suddenly came and ordered everyone to move their belongings.
The Lagos State government has been demolishing properties that were built on unauthorized lands. Hundreds of Nigerians have lost their investment and been rendered homeless due to these actions but the government has continued to implement their plans.
