Nollywood actress Funke Akindele cries out to the public after her name was used to scam someone of N30,000.
In a recent tweet on X, the thespian who recently celebrated her movie A Tribe Called Judah hitting 1 billion at the box office, shared screenshots of a Whatsapp chat between a scammer using her identity and another party. In the chat, the scammer disguised as Funke Akindele asking the person for a sum of N30,000 from the said person while promising a refund after her bank issue is rectified.
Realizing the person's tactics, the person asked the scammer to be creative and strategic in scamming instead of using other people's names to earn a living. Funke Akindele confirmed that she is not the sender of the message and urged the public to kindly disregard such message.
