We will be disbursing the 13th-month salary before the close of this year, Seyi Makinde reassures Oyo civil servants
Seyi Makinde, the Governor of Oyo State, has reassured the Oyo State civil servants that they would each receive their 13th-month salary before the end of this year. He announced this during the Christmas Carol Service that was held on Sunday night with the theme "Unto Us a Child is Born."
The Governor posted a short statement on his X page, revealing his intention to pay the salaries of the workers. He wrote, "We held the 2023 Festival of Carols and Nine Lessons, themed “Unto Us a Child is Born” tonight. The service gave us another opportunity to thank God for His mercies and faithfulness this year even though it has been a tough year economically. I assured civil servants in Oyo State that as we have been doing every year since 2019, we will again pay the 13th month salary before the end of this year."
