Mrs Folakemi from Ede in Osun State, who chose a sum of N300k over a free surgical operation to remove her goiter has passed away after battling the condition for years.
A few months ago, Mrs Folakemi went viral after she rejected a free surgery and demanded that the money raised on her behalf be handed over to her. She received the money and left for her hometown with the hope that others would come to her rescue.
Unfortunately, Mrs Folakemi passed away a few days ago after a life-threatening condition.
