Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, congratulated Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his victory in the ruling All Progressives Congress Presidential Primaries on Thursday, saying the flagbearer has exhibited passion, patriotism, courage, and commitment in the pursuit of nation-building for many decades.
Tinubu, according to Osinbajo, stands out for his outstanding contributions to Nigeria's democracy and progress. His vast knowledge would undoubtedly be crucial in the party's ongoing efforts to make Nigeria more secure and affluent.
Tinubu was proclaimed the winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary elections on Wednesday.
He defeated his major opponents, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi, with half of the vote.
President Muhammadu Buhari and all APC leaders were also congratulated on a successful Special Convention and Presidential Primary, according to Osinbajo.
He also urged all party members, regardless of who they voted for in the primaries, to rally behind the Presidential Candidate and Flagbearer in order to assure the party's triumph in the 2023 elections.
