The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has announced that cash will no longer be accepted at any of its pay points, including access gates, car parks, and executive lounges, starting Sunday, March 1.

The disclosure was contained in a statement from FAAN on Friday.

The move forms part of FAAN’s “Go Cashless” initiative, which aims to make all airport transactions faster, safer, and fully digital.

What led to this decision? Hope it is not because of tax
 
Most a times, in this country we are very quick to introduce and imbibe new innovations that is working seamless in other countries, but here it becomes another experience because the right infrastructures that can make the innovation seamless is not in place or not optimally operating.

I saw a funny video AIT posted on their platform about a man hurrying to jump down from the bike and the caption read the above decision to go cashless at any point at the airport.
