637 Nigerians arrive at Egyptian border from Sudan

637 Nigerian students have arrived at the Egyptian border from Sudan. This is the first batch of 13 buses that conveyed students from Sudan.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and also the ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development were the ones who confirmed that 637 students have arrived at the Egyptian border.

They said that the necessary clearance and documentation for them into Egyot are in progress.

They also revealed that the second batch consisting of 29 buses began evacuation last Saturday, April 29.

The ministry revealed that some embassy staff were present there in Khartoum to coordinate the evacuation process. They simply asked for cooperation from the students so that there will be order in the process.

The Nigerian ambassador to Sudan has assured the students and parents of this evacuation operation.

The ambassador, Saturday Olaniyan said that officials of the embassy were there and none of them would leave Sudan until all Nigerians had been evacuated.
