An unverified number of travelers have been kidnapped by gunmen between the border community of Ekiti and Ondo state
An unascertained number of travelers have been kidnapped by gunmen along the border of Ekiti and Ondo State. It appeared that the travelers were quite much because two cars; a Toyota Corolla and Highlander were emptied and damaged by gunshots on the roadsides. This incident reportedly occurred on Thursday between Ikere Ekiti and Iju.
Sadly, the identities of those abducted haven't been stated and it isn't known whether the kidnappers have contacted their family members for ransom.
However, the community police and the Ondo State Amotekun have begun tracking the kidnappers. The rate of kidnapping in the country has kept increasing since the start of 2024 and citizens residing in the states where it is prevalent are living in fear.
