The National Union of Air Transport Employees and the Air Transport Senior Staff Services Association of Nigeria have shut down the operations of Arik Air due to non-payment of Staff salaries.

Reports say the unions disclosed that Staff have not been paid seen April after placing 90 per cent of the workforce on compulsory leave.

According to information from a source of Arik air, the decision of the two unions to withdraw the services of Arik air occurred as a result of increment of Terminal leay by Bi-Courtney and other anti-labour practice.
