Popular Nigerian musician, Asake has revealed why he sings in Yoruba language.
Ahmed Ololade is popularly known as Asake, and he is a 28 year old Nigerian singer who has become very popular due to the music he releases.

Asake was signed to the Popular record label owned by Olamide, YBNL in 2022.

He has revealed why he sings in yoruba and he said it is because music transcends language barriers.
He mentioned this during an interview with ABC News.

Asake sings in Yoruba language and sometimes mixes with Pidgin.

He was asked why he sings he yoruba and he mentioned this.

He said Yoruba is very important to him and a lot of people understand it.

He says the way he understands music is like a feeling. He also said that sometimes you don't even need to understand the music.

From there he mentioned how important connecting with your audience during performance is.

He makes sure to do what he does so ensure they are enjoying his music during performance even more than when streaming online.
