Fintech company, Moniepoint reveals they record an average $12billion worth of transactions in a month

Popular Nigerian financial company, Moniepoint has revealed that they record an average of $12billion worth of transactions in a month. Moniepoint which was founded by 2 Nigerians, Felix Ike and Tosin Eniolorunda in 2015.

The fintech company has revealed that they have an average of this amount of transactions on a monthly basis. This is progressing as more and more businesses have begun to embrace the use of digital payments in Nigeria. Moniepoint provides all-in-one banking, payments, operations for these businesses. The company revealed their record recently to journalists in Lagos. This was on Thursday, the 31st of August, 2023.

It was the Acting Managing Director of Moniepoint, Babatunde Olofin, who revealed that it was the cash scarcity that lead to more businesses embracing this digital format. They also revealed that they have recorded over 1.6 million businesses making use of their service.
