Former Anambra governor, Chukwuemeka Ezeife dies at 85 years old
The former governor of Anambra State, Dr Chukwuemeka Ezeife, has passed away. The former governor died recently at the Federal Medical Centre, Abuja. This incident occured on Thursday, December 14, 2023. Dr Chukwuemeka Ezeife who is famously known ‘Okwadike’ served as the Governor of Anambra between January 1992 and November 1993.his tenure came during the third Republic.
Dr Chukwuemeka Ezeife was 85 years old when he passed away on Thursday. He was Born on the 20th of November 1938. The news of his death came after a short press release was issued on Friday December 25th 2023. The press release was signed by Chief Rob Ezeife and this was released on behalf of the family of Ezeife.
The statement which was released read “On behalf of the Ezeife Dynasty of Igbo-Ukwu, I wish to announce the promotion to glory of our most distinguished son, ‘Okwadike’, Dr Chukwuemeka Ezeife, CON, a former Federal Permanent Secretary, a former governor of Anambra State, a former Political Adviser to the President and former Presidential aspirant. This sad event took place yesterday at 6 pm at the Federal Medical Centre, Abuja. More details about the deceased and the arrangements for his state burial will be announced later.”
