Gunmen abduct three family members in Kogi State
Some gunmen had abducted 3 members of a family in Kogi State recently. These gunmen had attacked the Greenland community in Ajaokuta Local Government Area in Kogi State.
They had done this around 9pm on Monday, and kidnapped 3 people in a family.
There was an eyewitness, whose name has been withheld for safety purposes, mentioned that these gunmen had come into the community in a Sienna vehicle.
They had begun to shoot anyhow just so as to kidnap their target who was a retired security officer
The community chairman, Paul Atabor had confirmed this incident yesterday, Wednesday.
He revealed that they have reported this case to the ‘C’ Division of the Nigeria Police Force and the Department of State Services.
He also revealed that these gunmen sent a notice to the community yesterday threatening to return to kidnap more people.
They said the letter revealed that the residents were told to get ready as they are coming to get someone.
One of the family members of the people who had been kidnapped revealed he has gotten the message from the kidnappers with regards to ransom.the amount was not disclosed.
