CEO of the Recording Academy and Grammy Awards, Harvey Mason Jr. has revealed how to win a Grammy Award.

This is coming after all Nigerian artists nominated at the 2024 Grammy Awards lost to other nominees. This caused outrage on social media, especially from the camp of singer David Adeleke aka Davido who was nominated for the first time at the Awards ceremony.

In a video making the rounds online, Harvey Mason stated that an artist can only win a Grammy if the members of the Recording Academy cast their vote. He further stated that various songs get submitted to the Academy for nomination after which the Academy selects the one that meets the required criteria.

Mason explained that the members select winners according to the quality of the music and not the number of streams or fan base of the artist. He added that it is simply the opinions of the members that determine the winners of the award.
