In a recent episode of The Honest Bunch podcast, Sexy Steel said he once lost an endorsement deal with Guinness because he doesn't take alcohol. He revealed that he was later replaced with Nigerian singer 2Face. He revealed that it was when Guinness released their newest addition Extra Smoove. Fortunately, he was shortlisted for the deal. He got to the brief and they told him he would drink. He disagreed and told them he couldn't.

Sexy Steel said they thought he was joking about it when he told them he couldn't take alcohol. He disclosed that the deal involved a huge amount of money but he blatantly said no. He said his agent thought something was wrong with him but he didn't budge.

He stated that he later met the Guinness brand manager at an event a few years later and the man expressed how much his NO changed his philosophy about life. "A couple of years ago, I had a show at Eko hotel. I saw the brand manager. As soon as I performed, he asked someone to call me. I went to him and he asked if I could remember him but I couldn't.

Then he told the people there that he respects me because I'm a great guy. He said I'm the one that made him see that money isn't everything. He said I'm still progressing even though I didn't accept the money back then."
