Nasiru Idris wins the Kebbi State governorship election
Nasiru Idris of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has won the Kebbi State governorship election.
Recall that the governorship elections in Kebbi state were declared inconclusive in the first elections on the 18th of March 2023.
The supplementary elections were then shifted till April 15, 2023 and these are the results of the supplementary elections.
It was The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) who declared Dr Nasiru Idris of APC as the governor of Kebbi state.
The elections were held in 142 polling units across the state.
The results were announced by Prof Yusuf Sa’idu who is a returning officer at the INEC headquarters in Birnin Kebbi.
He mentioned that Nasiru Idris had a total of 409,225 votes and defeated his opponent who is Gen. Aminu Bande of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and he had a total of 360,940 votes.
