Recall that few days before the end of the Buhari administration, former Minister of aviation, Hadi Sirika unveiled Nigeria Air which came as a surprise to Nigerians and raised various questions among the populace.

In a meeting on Tuesday, the House of Reps Committee has questioned the authenticity of Nigeria Air and stated that it is just a fraud cooked up by the government and the minister of aviation.

Nnaji Nnolim, the chairman of the committee said though the aircraft had the Nigerian colors painted on it, it does not make it authentic because any aircraft could be painted that way.

The committee has asked the federal government to halt the operations of Nigeria Air till further notice.

The special assistant to former president Buhari, Bashir Ahmad, shared via his Twitter handle saying, "Nigeria Air is not a fraud. The Aviation Ministry has made a significant progress towards its realization. Branding unveiled, partnerships and agreements signed, most of the operational certificates issued, and operation offices opened. Nigeria Air will fly to make Nigeria proud."
