X, formerly known as Twitter, has begun paying content producers and social media influencers in Nigeria through its ad revenue-sharing program.

However, payments to content creators began for X users in the United States early last month, X said that this development will be extended worldwide by the end of July.

Verified users in Nigeria and other countries who have reached the threshold of impressions on their work are now being compensated.

Some of the content producers who got the payment turned to Twitter to express their gratitude to the platform's owner, Elon Musk.

Musk, they claim, has given them an incentive to stay on the app and continue generating entertaining content.

The reward implies that many people who had previously refused to pay for the blue badge but who consistently produce content that receives positive feedback would now be tempted to pay for the memberships, which cost N3,560 per month.
