A Nigerian mom has gotten infuriated after a male JAMB registrar retrieved her 15-year-old daughter's data from the system and texted her on WhatsApp. Unbeknownst to the man, the number that was included in her JAMB registration was her mother's number. She played along and kept the conversation going so the man wouldn't suspect s thing. Afterward, she shared screenshots of the message on social media and drew people's attention to her post. She was so furious and called out JAMB for not securing their applicant's data protection rights.
She wrote, "The guy is committing so many criminal offenses at once and it's crazy. He's still chatting with me. He says he got her number from the system after she registered and left cos he couldn't help himself. JAMB, where are my daughter's data protection rights?
