Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand and his wife, Kate Ferdinand, have welcomed a new-born baby girl to their family.

Kate Ferdinand announced the second child of her marriage with the footballer through her Instagram page, six days after the birth of the girl on July 10, 2023.

Kate shared a black-and-white picture showing the baby’s hands on top of hers and Rio’s. Rio Ferdinand’s wife also revealed the name of the baby with the caption, “Shae Ferdinand, 10-7-23, our strong little girl.”
