Three cultists have been shot dead during a Shootout between Cultists and policemen in Rivers State.
The shootout had happened in Udebu community, Ahoada East Local Government Area in Rivers state. This happened on Sunday evening.
Some cult members had been disturbing these local governments and the police had intervened. The cultists had mobilised themselves and shot at the police officers who had acted on information they had gotten.
The shootout led to the death of 3 people.
Some others escaped with injuries from the bullets shot by the police.
They were able to recover some ammunition and weapons from the suspects.
The spokesperson for the state police command, Grace Iringe-Koko, has confirmed the incident.
She revealed an investigation to locate the other cultists is ongoing.
