Nigerian singer Joseph Akinwale popularly known as Joeboy tells his colleagues to promote African awards and stop glamourizing foreign award shows most especially the Grammys.
In an interview with Culture Daily, Joeboy emphasized the need to promote African institutions, adding that the Grammys is an American award and it shouldn't be over-glorified. Joeboy said if the Americans didn't promote the Grammys, the world wouldn't recognize it, advising Africa to do the same.
