Recall that Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu arrived in Paris, France, for President Emmanuel Macron's Summit on New Global Financing Pact on July 22, 2023.

President Tinubu was met at the airport by Ambassador Kayode Laro and other top government officials from the Nigerian Embassy and the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs after his flight landed at exactly 6.47 pm local time on Tuesday.

This was made known according to a release issued on Tuesday evening by his Special Adviser on Special Duties, Communications, and Strategy, Mr Dele Alake.

On Wednesday, President Tinubu got the full briefings on Nigeria's position on the Summit and the scheduled sideline meetings with leaders and international organizations from Ambassador Laro, Permanent Secretary Adamu Lamuwa, and other officials.

The President will attend a two-day Summit from Thursday, June 22nd and Friday, June 23rd, to examine opportunities to restore fiscal space to countries facing difficult short-term financial challenges, particularly the most indebted, and to mobilize innovative financing for countries vulnerable to climate change and economies grappling with the effects of Covid-19 and the energy crisis.
