Truck driver loses control and crashes into a salon in Ibadan
A Mercedes benz truck driver lost control and swerved across the road and then crashed into a hair salon in Ibadan.
This incident took place on Thursday. The driver of this truck lost control and then crashed into a salon on the other side of the road.
The salon was on the ground floor of a story building in Ibadan. This was around Sango-Eleyele Road in Ibadan.
The truck was carrying pet bottles and was on its way to Eleyele from Sango when it lost control.
The truck was speeding and it didn't slow down when it got to the speed bumps and this was what led to the loss of control.
It first crashed into a Toyota car which was parked before crashing into the hair salon.
The truck driver sustained injuries but the passenger wasn't hurt.
A young lady who stays in the shop next to the salon testified saying God saved her from this accident. She says she was standing by the window of the salon when she saw this truck speeding. She said the truck driver suddenly swerved and went over the median and was coming in her direction. She says she ran even though she didn't know where to run to.
The owner of this hair salon also mentioned that they had been making hair when they heard the loud sound and all of them ran into the inner part of the salon.
They eventually came out to check what happened and saw the crash.
Some police officers after they got to the scene arranged for a towing truck to remove the smashed car and the truck from that place.
