In commemoration of the annual World Environment Day (WED), Chevron Nigeria Limited announced that the firm prioritizes environmental sustainability in its daily operations.
World Environment Day is celebrated every 5th of June and this year's theme was ‘Solutions to Plastic Pollution’ with the slogan #BeatPlasticPollution.
CNL showed that they are particular about their environment and take all necessary actions to reduce the rate of plastic pollution by deploying proper waste management practices.
Rick Kennedy, the Chairman and Managing Director at Chevron Nigeria, mentioned that the company makes provision for proper waste management and disposal through reuse and recycling.
He further stated that the company has resorted to the use of dispensers in an attempt to limit the use of single-use plastics. In conjunction with its recycling equipment, the company can prevent its used plastics from leaking into the environment it operates.
